Meet the Doctor

Dr. Julia Allerton grew up knowing that she wanted to be in a profession that helped people live better lives. She spent summers and holiday breaks from school helping her father at Orr Chiropractic Center as a Chiropractic Assistant. She observed people crawling in hurting and walking out happy. This made a huge impact on her and later affected how she takes care of her patients. Dr. Julia graduated from Northridge High School and then Otterbein College in Westerville before moving to Davenport, Iowa to begin Chiropractic college. Dr. Julia was President of her class at Palmer College of Chiropractic as well as being a Vogt Scholar.

Dr. Julia specializes in the Gonstead method of adjusting and analyzing the spine. She is a member of the Ohio State Chiropractic Association, Palmer Alumni Association and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She regularly goes to Chiropractic and Nutritional Educational Seminars. She enjoys staying up to date with everything that is new in the Chiropractic field and her patients love it when she comes back with new information to help their lives.

From birth, she has had her spine regularly checked for vertebral subluxations. She knows the benefit first hand of being raised under chiropractic care. If she had a sore throat her father would adjust her neck. If she had a sprained ankle her father would adjust her ankle. It was a different childhood than a lot of her friends who would regularly take pain killers. Chiropractic is more than occasional adjustments, it is a way of life. It is your body being freed of impairments to the nervous system so that it can express itself to the fullest potential. Nature doesn't need help, it just needs no interference. Because of how her own life had been affected with Chiropractic care, she knew she wanted to help people be healthy and active throughout their lives.

Dr. Julia is married to Clint Allerton, a crew member for a professional drag racing team. They have a son, Eric Joseph and a daughter, Ashley Grace. Since birth, Eric and Ashley have been getting their spines checked reguarly. Clint began receiving chiropractic care  before marrying Dr. Julia and they both take time out of their busy schedules to maintain their own spines. Dr. Julia believes that a doctor should practice what he or she preaches. In doing so she tries to live her life by the same recommendations for wellness care that she gives her patients.

Dr. Julia believes that we are all meant to be healthy physically, emotionally, and spiritually and that healing comes from within. She helps you feel at home at the Orr Chiropractic Center. She takes the time necessary to help each patient understand and her gentle touch produces great results. Her background has given her a unique approach to each patients health and wellness plan. She uses exercise, stretches, orthotic pillows and insoles, therapies, nutrition and diet recommendations to help rehabilitate, strengthen and maintain a healthier spine and nervous system and increase your quality of life.
